I'm looking forward to doing some geocaching soon, first here in upstate NY and then down in DC when I move. For now I'm enjoying living vicariously thru posts from Patti and others. Would love to hear more stories, perhaps especially from the difficult terrain that I am unlikely to pursue.
I promise I'll never put a stupid cheap plastic toy in a cache. (I didn't realize how common it is; just the thought of finding a bunch of McD junk bums me out).

Re: Favorite/most clever cache stories? (was: 'clever urbans')
Fri, April 21, 2006 - 7:17 PMI live in Maine and have hit some pretty rough terrain! I have done a few interesting caches, where the coordinates bring you to an area and you have to find the next set of coordinates, on and on it goes until you make it to the container. However, one of my favorites was the coordinates brought you to the tools to get the actually cache. You had to figure out where it was and then retrieve it. So far it has been my favorite!! Though I thoroughly enjoy them all, and try for FTF's but am not willing to go out into the woods at night searching. Up state NY should be fun!! There are a lot of nice areas there. Can't wait to hear about your experiences. Sherri
